About Us
Welcome to Wildfire Registered Vizsla's. My husband Greg and I have been living with Vizsla's since 2002. Our first Vizsla is Chakra's Spirit of the West "Spirit", he is a very sweet
and loving boy with great temperament and bidability. We got him in hopes of doing some agility, and afterwards decided to show him to his championship and also put a field dog
junior title on him. He got us hooked on the breed!

We currently share our home and lives with three Vizsla's - Spirit,  ten years of age and Autumn, six years of age and our most recent addition, Rime, from Autumn's February 2011
litter who is now a year old.  We are members good standing of the Vizsla Society of Ontario, Canadian Kennel Club and the Agility Association of Canada. We show our dogs actively
in agility and conformation and dabble in rally obedience and hunting.

Our breeding practices are conservative and we only plan to breed selectively. Consequently we will only have litters occasionally. Our desire is to produce quality dogs with good
looks, good health and highly trainable natures that are a pleasure to live with. We strive to meet the
breed standard and breeding recommendations set forth by the Canadian
Kennel Club and the Vizsla Society of Ontario. With every litter we intend to better our breeding stock and do no harm to the breed. We only breed sound, quality dogs to other
sound, quality dogs.

Puppies are whelped in our home and that's where they are raised. We make every effort to give the puppies the very best start in life possible by introducing them to people, children
(including toddlers, elementary aged and teenagers), environmental stimulus and household activities. We give them lots of opportunities for strength building, confidence building
and lots and lots of human contact. We introduce crate training from four weeks of age and we also begin outdoor house training (the extent of which is based on weather
conditions).

We are very selective about puppy placements. We like to make sure puppies match the needs of the owners, and the owners are able to bring out the best in our puppies.

We complete puppy testing to make sure we understand the puppies abilities for the best placement matches. We work with prospective puppy owners to find just the right puppy to
meet their family needs and just the right family to meet the abilities and capabilities of the puppies. Sometimes a families needs are not met by a puppy from a particular breeding, in
which case we will council the family to consider another breeding (ours or another reputable breeder). When we place puppies, more than anything, we look for homes that will give
them lots of love and the opportunity to be the very best representative of the breed. We put our hearts and souls into our puppies and hopes that their new families will continue to
do the same. We are there to support our puppy owners for the life of their puppies. We are a resource, a mentor and a friend for the life of the puppy.
